4 out of 5 stars Varying quality, good price though. Better than the picture.   November 21, 2008
I re-ordered one of these after my old one which was machined perfectly and worked perfectly, was left behind in my last house.

Unfortunately the workmanship was quite poor on this new one I received.

Bits of metal hanging off the pliers, tweezers weren't centred. And the screwdriver tips bent on first use. My mate said send back, but so much stuff is badly made these days you can't return it all otherwise you'd never get anywhere at all.

I fixed the kit myself with some metal files, and heat treating them myself and plating them again.

The ratchet driver is pretty nice compared to most budget ones I've had where the switch eventually breaks, very comfy and accurate.

This is a very nice kit to start off with. The included screwdrivers and ratchet kit cover the common sizes found inside a PC, although bizarrely they've included more Torx bits than anything else. Picking up extra bits for the driver should be a piece of cake, though. The magnetic attachment for the ratchet is a godsend, frankly. The pliers and tweezers make light work of those fiddly motherboard headers and the wire trimmers may well come in handy. By far the best thing in the kit is the odd little three-prong grippy widget, which proves itself to be much better than pliers or tweezers at fishing small objects out of odd places.

My only real problems with the pack are the IC remover (beginners shouldn't need one an experts know they shouldn't use them) and the torch. I was hoping for a cheap-and-cheerful LED flashlight but instead there's a translucent purple incandescent torch which looks like it came from a christmas cracker. I've got an LED light handy anyway, but a little bit of consideration would've rounded out the kit nicely.

I bought one of these when I was to have a go at building a PC but it has become indispensable around the house for all sorts of jobs - at this price you won't regret it!

I was after a little pack to help with at work. This is fairly good value for money. I thought htere could have been a bit more in the pack and the torch isnt great but everything else is realy good. A good buy!

I have been looking for a good toolkit to upgrade and repair PC's. This is the best for the money and the case is made so good it is easy to take out the tools. I like the tube to store screws and the inject tool to grab little things in small places. Another good value for the money from amazon.
