The SDHC card has a security feature for protection of copyrighted data. What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. I ordered this item a few weeks ago and recently received it. This is really working a treat and i am very grateful that not only is it a great bit of kit, but also that it seems to be compatible with anything i plug it into. Not too sure about some of these other ratings, but i have had no problems what so ever.

i bought this for my 4 gig mp4 player to upgrade the memory and so i can have al my songs on it, this works fine however it wont work in my SD card reader on my pc. I've read some reviews some ppl sya it dont work in the older ones or something i don't know my pc is about 2 years old nearly including the card reader as it was built in so i dunno why it wont work far as imm concerned older or not it should do and this problem should not occur and if that is the case why on earth was it not listed on the amazon website? I give it 3 stars because i being generouse but im really anoid and in tormiol over this whole situation and believe amazon should update there website and list it wont work with some SD card readers and say why ect so as the buyer knows before purchasing this monstrosity, is says SDHC on the card i do not wa the HC means i thought any SD card works in any SD card reader, obviously i was wrong not my fault tho as this was not listen on the site so sort this out and save others the traumer of such an experience

we bought an 8Gb SD card for the digicam on the 26th December. it was cheap and seemed like a real bargain. it came on the 2nd of January. when we put it in the camera it says "memory full". nothing we did got rid of this.
when we put it in the PC we found that this 8Gb card was only 3.38Gb in size.
 Good product but beware needs SDHC reader for pc December 18, 2008

I purchased this for use in a compatible digital photo frame. It does the job and is a good price. I didn't expect it to work in the car stereo, or my 3 year old digital camera, but I did expect it to plug into the pc and simply copy files across. The pc running windows XP did not recognise the device in a number of card readers. I went to several high street retailers, known for selling electical and digital kit. One kindly tested the card for me could not read it and thought it might be faulty. Another was not sure why it did not work, a third said it needed a special reader, but did not have one; and a reader plus card was ~ 70. A search on the internet then clarifed what was required, and Amazon stock a reader with 2GbSD card for ~ 2. It would however be really helpful if this info was put in the product description.

Excellent card. It works with my D80 well. You don't really feel any obvious difference between this card and my other Sandisk Extreme III 2GB card. I will buy another one soon.
